Renewable Energy Funding
While renewable energy products such as Heat Pumps and
Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) systems offer a range of benefits, Social Housing
providers understandably have to consider them carefully when working with what
can sometimes be very strict budgets. While the will to embrace renewable energy
may well be there, it is often the case that at first glance, the budget is not.
However, there are a range of renewable energy funding schemes available to
benefit Social Housing providers which Ice Energy can help to access.
Accessing renewable energy funding
In addition to the funding schemes available to Social Housing providers via Government initiatives and Utility suppliers, in some cases Ice Energy has also been able to provide access to private funding for renewable energy projects. The ability to identify, apply for and successfully deliver funding has become one of the major strengths of our Social Housing proposition as often due to budget constraints, Social Housing providers may not feel able to commit to a renewable energy project. Funding therefore can potentially be the difference between tenants benefiting from reduced energy bills or continuing to face the prospect of fuel poverty.
Ice Energy will not only identify what funding schemes your project may qualify for, we will monitor and administer those applications through to project completion.
Our renewable energy funding success
We have a strong history of successfully securing a range of funding for renewable energy schemes on behalf of Social Housing providers which has ultimately benefitted thousands of tenants across the UK.
Renewable Heat Premium Payment
Ice Energy worked with a number of associations to secure funding for renewable energy schemes by completing and submitting applications for the Renewable Heat Premium Payment on their behalf. By helping them with their applications, we helped these associations secure in excess of £350,000 from an overall pot of £3,000,000 and several new projects are now under way which may not have proceeded without the necessary funding.
Low Carbon Build Programme
Over £2.5m in funding for renewable energy schemes was
successfully secured by Ice Energy for projects adhering to the
Low Carbon Build Programme. Once again, we administered
the applications on behalf of our Social Housing provider clients
to deliver the funding schemes necessary to install 296
Ground Source Heat Pumps and 447 Air Source Heat Pumps on
a new build and retrofit basis.
