Low Carbon Building Programme Grants closed from today (24/05/10)

We’ve been forecasting the closure of the LCBP grants for a little
while now and the axe fell at midnight last night. The remaining £3M
of funding was removed early as part of the Government savings
announced today. Making the announcement the Government justified
the closure by pointing to the implementation of the Renewable Heat
Incentive (RHI).

GOOD NEWS
The good news is Ice Energy still has funding for £1500 grant via CERT
funding from our grant partners. However this is only available for
ground source installations where the competing fuel is oil, LPG or
solid fuel.

HAVE I LOST MY GRANT FUNDING?
If you have a grant confirmation letter from the BRE and LCBP then
your funds are safe and you will still receive them subject to
completing any Terms & Conditions.

If you bought an Ice Energy Heat Pump prior to last Monday and your
Terms and Conditions guaranteed your grant, again it is already
confirmed and not affected by this announcement. You will still
receive the payment.

If you bought an Ice Energy Heat Pump since Last Monday you will
receive your agreed grant application provided your installation
is completed before the End of March 2011.

I STILL HAVEN’T ORDERED - HAVE I LOST OUT?
You are still eligible for payments under the proposed Renewable
Heat Incentive (RHI) and if you order a ground source heating
system where the competing fuel is Oil, LPG or Solid Fuel you
can still claim £1500 via Ice Energy. The installation must be
completed by the end of March 2011.
