Morden Hall Park Tea Room Installs Ice Energy Heat Pump

Morden Hall Park tea rooms are situated in the National Trust's SE London historic parkland which has meadows, wetlands and a network of waterways.

It also has a fragrant colourful rose garden with over 2,000 roses along with the Old Snuff Mill Environmental Centre which "brings learning to life".

Bore Holes Drilled

Just in front of the tea room is a small area of grass often used for eating outdoors during the summer. This area was used to sink 3 bore holes each to 60m.

Heat Recovery from Kitchens

The 11Kw heat pump supplies all the tearoom's heating and in addition all hot water which is stored in a 300l tank. The tank and heat pump are situated at the rear of the building in a small services room and offers an ideal location near to the kitchen.

Two heat recovery units are installed in the loft space above the kitchen to capture excess heat and this is drawn off and stored in the ground through the ground loops. The cooled air is fed back into the kitchen providing a better working environment for staff.

Visit the Parkland

Why not visit the tea room, its address is Morden Hall Road, Morden SM4 5JD and you can reach them by telephone on 020 8545 6850.

The Park is open 8-6 every day all year round, with the cafe opening hours being 10-5. A kiosk and second hand book shop are open Saturdays and Sundays April through October.
