Job purpose:
Due to continuous annual growth and further aggressive expansion plans in this industry sector we have a requirement to secure a Senior Mechanical Engineer, preferably Chartered and experienced in a building background. To carry out work on the design of heat pump systems, within commercial organizations including hospitals, office buildings, factory warehouses etc and large scale residential.
Responsibilities:
The role is part of the Commercial/Developers Team reporting to the Commercial Manager.
• Undertake work associated with the mechanical design for heat pumps and other renewable technologies
• Work with other engineers involved in systems development
The job includes the use of other renewable technologies and with external organisations and suppliers around the world. The aim is to develop and deliver high efficiency and cost effective systems into the market
Key competencies for this role are:
• Design of heating systems
• Project Management
• Experience in the mechanical design of ground source/air source heat pumps and an understanding of other renewable technologies
• Heat transfer understandings
• Energy performance and requirements for building
• Thermal stress analysis
